Table arrives yesterday and I am very pleased with this purchase. I read every review of this item and ultimately it was those that convinced me to pull the trigger on this piece. It was fully assembled by the Birch Lane team when they arrived. So I cannot comment on assembly, but it maybe took 15-20 minutes from unpack to assembled. This is a beautiful coffee table and I’m very happy now that it has arrived. I considered taking a couple stats off for my overall shopping experience , but when all is said and done. The coffee table is lovely and the delivery guys were very courteous. My complaint comes from six WEEKS of having to chase down what was happening with my order as it did not move at all. In fact, for the longest time it said “we’ll send shipping info as soon as it’s back in stock. I was told it was being “custom made” which is not true. Meanwhile, BL continued to advertise as “in stock” with under a two week delivery window. While I had been waiting over 5 weeks with no updates. I finally had success in getting some real answers by pretending I was interested in purchasing this same item and was questioning if the very speedy estimated delivery timeframe was accurate. I was told it absolutely was because they had 157 in stock. Wait! Whaaat???? That’s when I asked them what the heck is happening with my order? Finally I was transferred to a live agent that helpfully put in a trouble ticket and two days later, it was on its way. (Still took another 7 days) Once my order got moving the communication and delivery was great and as I said, the coffee table is beautiful and has elevated my living space. LOVE LOVE this coffee table. I bought the coffee table and the end table. First the pictures on the listing of the coffee table are not accurate. The listing shows very visible stripes. I read reviews and it appears that many said the color was different when actually received. So I took a risk and ordered. I unpacked the end table first. It was just too big for an end table. I was disappointed as I loved the piece. Since the end table was too big I thought the coffee table might be too big as well. I was wrong! I opened the box and instantly loved the coffee table. It did read very big in the box, but I said let me set it up anyway just to see. Getting it upstairs is tricky as it is round. Once we set up I was blown away. Simply Beautiful! Now keep in mind, the color is different than the listing. Mine was a bit darker than the listing. It is better than the picture and is not ‘stripey’ as depicted in the listing. There are natural imperfections. It’s wood, so be ready for that. I love that about the table, so if you looking for a clean finish, this table is not for you. The table is beautiful. It’s a little bit lighter than I expected and hoped in person. It’s very sturdy and solid but doesn’t feel like real wood. I love the scallop detail and the curved corners because we have wild little growing boys and toddler so I like that I don’t feel nervous about sharp corners.
