Crafted of rubberwood solids with cathedral hickory veneers, this set features an antique brownstone finish and consists of the trestle table and four or six upholstered side chairs. This trestle table features a large top at 82” long but the included 24” removable leaf makes it grand at 106”. The top is anchored by a trestle base with heavy square turned posts that are reminiscent of a 17th century French antique. Sit in comfort with the upholstered side chairs with linen upholstery and a brass nail head trip along the bottom of the seat. We ordered five of these stools. One came damaged and Birch Lane sent a new one. The cushions are a bit hard but expect will soften over time. The wood is a dark walnut stain which is what we wanted. The upholstery is beige with dark gray "flecks". The nylon protectors on the bottom of the legs really grab on our wood floor and make it difficult to move the stools.
