The desk is beautiful and solidly built. It's so nice to actually have a desk NOT made of particle board. It looks great and the drawers are sturdy and come with some nice accessories like a wood inlay for pens and supplies., felt bottoms for 2 of the top drawers and the fully built in file cabinets. The desk also has a built in power supply for 2 electrical sockets and 2 USB ports. I wasn't sure what to expect since there were so few pictures posted but I am VERY happy with the desk. It came extremely well packaged and the only assembly necessary was attaching the 8 little legs. I am mostly pleased with these, considering the price. They arrived in perfect condition and look exactly as pictured. They blend well with the other wood colors and style in my living room. However I had hoped the wood would look more like real oak. The white glaze is much heavier than you can see on the photo, and it still retains a very strong smell. The white glaze is overdone, in my opinion, and makes the piece look like really fake wood, which I guess it is. I kind of wished I had ordered the very similar bookshelves without a back (made by a different manufacturer) because it doesnt say it has the glaze and also says it is made of oak and rubber wood. But those were each 100 more so I went with these.Whereas these are mostly engineered wood I believe. Once the smell wears away, Im sure Ill be happier with them.. Carol. Longboat Key, FL. Our storage bookcase has a wooden frame with a painted white-sand finish. We love the seagrass accents and round tapered post legs. Multiple shelves provide lots of space for books, décor, and framed family photos, and there's a drawer for various odds and ends. It holds more than I thought it would, and really helps to pull our bedroom together a bit more. It is HEAVY! Thankfully the delivery guys were able to get it in the general location I wanted it, but I had to move it in order to get it anchored to the wall. I understand why the one delivery guy was acting put out and irritated. Having pieces that have arrived damaged in the past, I made sure to go over it with a fine-toothed comb and it was in excellent condition.
