The piece is very well made, delivery was a snap, and the images on the website did not mislead us. Some information on the specification description is confusing, i.e. is the piece pine or poplar or is it simply a black poplar wash on pine, huh Still don’t know but it feels like pine, though hard to tell due to the black color and totally opaque finish. But we had a great experience from ordering to delivery and it was seamless, the piece is beautiful, whole, undamaged, and fits perfectly. Really nice looking, but I feel I overpaid. Good quality for the type of furniture. I dont think it will stand up in the long run. I wouldnt consider it kid or pet-friendly. This is a great cabinet however, there have been issues. The first one arrived damaged and Wayfair sent a furniture repair person to fix. It was too badly damaged and was replaced within three weeks. The second unit came in great condition, service was great however, upon further inspection, the touch-latch for the bottom drawer isn't functional. Hopefully an easy repair. Solid piece. Love the detailing. Was less than impressed with delivery company communication and delivery. The movers were nice, but if you live on a military base I would suggest to only order items with direct mail delivery. Took over 6 times for the delivery to be completed, but not to our house. Had to rent our own trailer and figure out how to move the very heavy piece in to the house. The stars are for the piece itself.
