The piece is very well made, delivery was a snap, and the images on the website did not mislead us. Some information on the specification description is confusing, i.e. is the piece pine or poplar or is it simply a black poplar wash on pine, huh Still don’t know but it feels like pine, though hard to tell due to the black color and totally opaque finish. But we had a great experience from ordering to delivery and it was seamless, the piece is beautiful, whole, undamaged, and fits perfectly. Really nice looking, but I feel I overpaid. Good quality for the type of furniture. I dont think it will stand up in the long run. I wouldnt consider it kid or pet-friendly. The entertainment center is great, however Felix who was sent from Anji's was not very nice. He was installing the shelves and I could see that he didn't have the finished edges facing outward, he was putting the shelves in backwards! I checked the manual to see if I was incorrect and it was very plain that the installer was putting the shelves in backwards! We argued over this well over 5 minutes and I even showed him the diagram of how the shelves should be and basically he told me I didn't know what I was talking about! I finally told him that I didn't care how he wanted to install the shelves, I wanted them facing to the front! He questioned me again and I said, "Just do it!" Felix wasn't happy, but finally installed it the way I wanted. He left in a hurry and I asked if he was going to clean up and he said, "No"! He left the room in a complete mess, styrofoam everywhere and multiple boxes everywhere too! Everything was great EXCEPT the installer that Anji's sent!!!!!!!!!!!!! The stand is exactly what I was looking for to go with my Natural wood floors. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the two swinging doors are hard to open after I put my Center Speaker on the top of the unit. This is causing the wood to bend slightly and the doors are harder to open. I took off the back of the unit to provide more air flow for my receiver that sits underneath and in the middle. It is a very nice and sturdy piece of furniture. It is exactly what I was hoping to receive looking at pictures from posted reviews. There are two manufacturer flaws hoping to be able to fix myself. The back has a broken corner which looks caused by an overt tightened screw. One shelve pin that is screwed in is messed up.
