It is a beautiful thick rug. It is soft kind of like a woven sweater. However, like a wool sweater, it is currently shedding. When my daughter sits on it, it gets little fuzzies of wool on her pants and the floor around. It really is soft and cozy and a good quality. I am hoping the shedding will go down over time and didn't return it because it looks and feels nice. We will see how the durability is over time. I just bought it. I bought the 5’3” x 7’ rug for my front porch and loved it so much I decided to get the 3’11” x 5’7" for my front entry. Unfortunately this smaller one will not lay flat. The fringed ends curl up and there are waves along both sides from being rolled up really tightly for delivery so the door gets caught on it when opening. This rug is amazing. Far better in person. The online photo hints at maybe some orange but there is none. It’s the perfect tan with no red undertones so it’s perfect with grays and other wood tones. It’s thick and extremely well made. Has a hand-woven quality and feels nice underfoot. Yes, it’s jute so it has that jute smell but I love it. It’s not rough and scratchy like many jutes-just textural. Was packaged super carefully and arrived in excellent condition.
