The four-light shade pendant by Chapman and Myers was inspired by a vintage mid-century French sconce with a simple metal armature. The minimal cruciform structure of the metal frame is the main feature of the design. The frame outlines and supports the inner cylindrical shade. All of the assembly hardware for installing the inner shade was engineered to be hidden in order to maintain the clean and simple aesthetic of the light.

Polished Nickel

The aesthetic appeal of geometry and a fashionable two-tone finish make the Gretel Collection a stand-out in any room. Measuring 42" long x 16" wide x 12" high, the eight-light linear chandelier pairs an English Bronze finish with Warm Brass for a more traditional look. The clear water glass panels decoratively diffuse the light from eight 60-watt candelabra bulbs.

This is a well made, modern fixture. I bought it to hang over a long rectangular dining table and it was a miss. I think it would be better suited for a round table. Unfortunately, this chandelier was not as expected. The shades are not a solid black as the picture shows, so it gives the appearance of linen when light is turned on.
