This sconce is really lovely. Hard to tell from the online photos but the shade is perfect linen. Not at all cream. My picture is taken in natural light with no other artificial lighting and the linen shade is soft white (against a bright white backdrop). The gold is spot on…not too orange or too blonde. I plan to hang this with the light facing down since it will be in a small space with one more recessed light. It really can go either way-just depends on the direction you need your light. The white globes are super soft both in feel and in color. The brass is spot on. Light you see is natural so no colors added. Shades don’t sit flat on the sconce due to the weird wiring it requires on top of the bulb. It’s really an odd thing, and makes our four shades in our bathroom lopsided if someone even moves.
