This is a really nice ottoman. I purchased the tan and white gingham check. It is heavy and has great space inside for storage. The fabric is a heavy blend of some sort, not 100% cotton, so I was concerned when I first saw it, but it’s thick and the fabric lays nicely, with great corners and flat panels. The Ottoman itself is wonderful. It’s so clean and soft. Because it’s suede, it’s fairly easy to brush out any minor stains and it feels heavy duty. The one issue we had is that there’s a small hole on the top of the Ottoman in the suede fabric. I called Birch Ln and they did promptly give me a 20% discount so I didn’t have to send it back to get a new one. Not quite sure how I’m going to fix the hole, but we decided to take the discount to forgo having to wait for the new ottoman or go through the process of shipping it back. I did all the measurements and was still surprised at it's size compared to the very large recliner I have sitting next to it! It's immediately comfortable, no need to break it in first. You have plenty of room to sit sideways or cross-legged. My large dog would love to take it over as his personal bed. I have a small ottoman/pouf that I can put in front of it for extra comfort as well. The side arms are tall enough that with the pillow you can lean against it to watch TV. My daughter lays with her legs hanging over the edge of the arm. For our small living room it fills adds another comfy option for seating against a wall where you might otherwise put a side chair.. I Iove the chairs, The reason I didn't give them five stars is because they arrived with some small but fixable issues and I have concerns that the plastic legs will not last - these should be made of sturdier material. Customer Service was responsive to the defects situation and worked with me on a solution. Defects aside, the chairs are comfortable and the right size for the space.
