This wooden bookcase is inspired by antique furniture you'd find in France, but without the antique shop price. It's thoughtfully crafted from solid wood with a natural wood grain texture and brings a stately character to any room, from the living room to your at-home office. It's built with three adjustable wood-framed glass shelves and has two cabinet doors: one with an adjustable wood shelf behind it and one light controlled by a 3-intensity touch switch. Plus, it comes with a tipover restraint device, cord-management slot, and lends stately style to your study with its molded trim and carved details. We love how this 42"-wide bookcase looks against a white shiplap wall with a colorful Persian-style rug layered underneath.

From the steel rails and exposed wheels to the mortise and tenon details, Lorna speaks to simplicity. The weathered brown oak finish is distressed to deliberately highlight its age and compliments the basic barn door style with heavy plank tops and timber legs. Lorna's classic look with rustic wood and authentic hardware has clearly withstood the test of time.

Loved finding bookcases this tall (94”) and wide (40”) and was able to make my office/studio wall look like a built-in. Lucky to find wood finish close to other elements we were using. While we don’t really need the ladder function, the rod detail makes the unit look unique and we didn’t purchase a ladder. A wall anchor was provided with each shelf, but we purchased more substantial ones because they are heavy pieces.. David. Orlando, FL. Sun Feb 16 2025
