I purchased the feather top mattress topper it was what I needed for my back

I was in a serious car accident and have multiple fractures and injuries. I have metal plates put in my pelvis and hip so good mattress is detrimental for my comfort sleep. I have Nectar purple line mattress but after accident I found it impossible to sleep on it - it felt too firm and was literally pushing on my hip and pelvis where plates are placed. It was a torture. I didn’t want to buy a new mattress and looked for the cover. This ultra plush mattress topping from Birchlane just saved my life. When I received it I thought it’s too firm and too thick but I was wrong. It’s so quality made it’s firm enough to keep you comfortable and to not to feel like you are swimming in it but it’s luxuriously fluffy and soft. It’s thickness gives soft cushioning but still give you soft support. It gives thickness to your mattress please consider this if your bed is already tall like mine. Initially when I was very low mobility it felt very high and hard for me to clime up. It has 2 sides - the bottom side is harder and you can see feathers through. Make sure to put it correct side up. I don’t think there are many comparable products on the market - believe me I did my research - mostly the temperpedic type memory foam ones which are still feel too firm for me. I highly recommend . Even my husband who doesn’t have mobility issues liked it. Last photo is the bottom side of the cover.

Exactly what my body needed. My mattress without this topper is too firm. Put pressure on my hips and knees. This topper is so soft and luxurious. I feel like I am at a five star hotel.

Still getting used to it but so far so good!!

This was not as expected. The feathers poked through and jabbed you as you slept. It was also noisy when you moved around on it.
