For a white black-out curtain with light grey underside, these do still appear white. Not stark white, but white with minimal grey tinge. Contrary to the picture, these canvas curtains do anything but drape softly on the floor. Still trying to figure out how to achieve that look, which was part of the reason for purchasing them. My fault for thinking that canvas might be soft enough to drape like that. Speaking of the canvas, getting the wrinkles out was very difficult. I will have to purchase a steamer, I think, to help get those out. Perhaps that will also soften them so I can get the soft drape on the floor. Who knows? Maybe they're grow on me, but right now, disappointed, sad to say.

Love them! Nice weight to drape well. The cotton fabric is a wonderful change from the usual shiny polyester that most blackout curtains are made of. And the blackout feature really is nice. I would order again.

Shrink when washed (ours needed it) but other than that they are fantastic! Block out so much light in our nursery.
