Over the last couple of months, we purchased seven pieces of wall art for approximately $2500.  The items are attractive and appear to be good value for the price.  However, several of the frames were damaged when we opened the boxes.  The most significant damage was a badly broken frame on the Salem Spring Warm.  The shipping box was not damaged.  We returned the item to Birch Lane and received a replacement promptly.  The frame on the Woodblock Floral II had a small, but noticeable nick in it which I touched up myself.  The third damaged frame was on the Coastal Sky by Puriton.  The top of the frame had a dent in it which was clearly filled with putty and still very noticeable.  Since the piece was very large 36'' H X 52'' W and would have been time consuming to repack and ship, we decided to keep it.  While I understand damage can occur, I find it unacceptable that you knowingly shipped us an item which was imperfect and had clearly been improperly repaired.
