This sturdy handmade area rug stands up to everyday foot traffic while giving you and your family some cozy padding to sink your feet into. It's hand-knotted from wool and cotton backing with a low 0.25" pile for a just-right balance of sturdiness and softness. It has a traditional Oushak-style pattern (in the size of your choice) for some old-world charm that's sure to fit right in with your coastal farmhouse. Looks aside, this wool-blend rug has fringed edges that are kind on your floors and help hold it in place, but we still recommend putting a rug pad underneath. When it comes to upkeep, it's easy to spot clean (because we know spills happen).

This is such a pretty rug. Very soft, but thin so you will need a pad underneath. I actually ordered mine a little too small accidentally but I am going to layer it over a plain jute rug. It’s definitely a navy color and I would say a little muted in color (not a super dark blue). And to me it has slight purple undertones. (My opinion). We are using it in a kids art area.. Melody. It's made clean from 100% New Zealand wool that's made to last, so it's sure to stand up to the occasional spill or dropped plate. Our favorite feature of all? This handmade wool rug comes in the size of your choice, so you can choose which one works best for your home. Just keep in mind that even though this rug has a thick cotton backing, it performs best when paired with a rug pad to prevent shifting and sliding underfoot.
