This is the second Erin Gates hand woven jute rug. The combination of quality, durability and design are what makes these rugs exceptional. I purchased this rug for my entry way, and it looks lovely. I ordered the 8'x8' square rug. My space was a bit of a challenge because there are two areas in one room. I wanted the two spaces to be distinct. The rug really helped to pull this together. It's not as soft as I thought it would be from the photo, but it is in way hard or scratchy. You definitely don't want to use a vacuum that has roller brushes that run automatically. The loops are large and would likely get pulled up and unravel. I would say it is worth the purchase. UPDATE: It sheds like crazy! This rug is a blend of very nice neutral colors. It arrived sooner than expected (which was great). It's exactly what I needed to pull together my living room seating area.
