Black Dining Room Runner Rugs

One of our most popular original designs for almost a decade, the Malta Handwoven Wool Rug has a softly textured feel and subtle herringbone pattern. A designer and editor favorite, it's made entirely by hand. Its slightly weathered effect will lend a touch of coastal charm to your space.

This rug is handsome and sturdy. It is the finishing touch that brought my living room together.. Katherine. Lopez, WA. Wed Jul 08 2026

This handwoven cotton rug adds a touch of classic, understated style to your home office, bedroom, or hallway. It is hand-loomed from 100% cotton in a sophisticated herringbone pattern, creating a subtle, vintage menswear-inspired look. The flatwoven construction gives it a medium 0.25'' pile height that fits effortlessly under most doorways and is highly versatile for both high- and low-traffic areas. The reversible design offers added utility, allowing you to easily flip it for a fresh look. We recommend rolling it out over a pad to keep it in place.

This hand-tufted area rug offers vintage elegance to traditional homes. Scrolling vines and floral medallions gracefully cover this classic wool layer in vivid hues of red and blue, while neutral taupe, beige, and black provide sophisticated contrast.

Striking just the right balance between understated and eye-catching, this handmade area rug features a classic oriental-inspired floral pattern in black and rust-red hues with neutral beige accents. Since this traditional rug is hand-tufted in India from 100% wool with a medium 0.4" pile height, it’s well-suited for high-traffic rooms like your living room or entryway. Its canvas backing means that there's no need for a rug pad, but feel free to add one underneath if you like extra padding.

It’s a beautiful rug. It matches my new furniture perfectly. I’ll need to vacuum it often, for a while, because it’s 100% wool. I’m very happy with it.. Lisa. Randolph, MA. Tue Aug 25 2026

Pretty, but visually looks different than photos. Needs a nonskid pad! Bought the smaller size before ordering the very large area rug to see how color and feel was. The contrast shows more in person. More navy and white than marled indigo.. Won't order large but will keep the small... Jennifer. Lake Forest, IL. Sun Jun 24 2018

Light weight runner. Cream color is a little darker than I expected, but it works with the room fortunately. Just the width of our king size bed, and the colors fit nicely with the existing comforter (what I was trying to match).. Elizabeth W.. Cape Coral, FL. Tue Apr 22 2025

This area rug gives your indoor space an instant update with its bold checkerboard pattern. Made from jute and sisal fibers, it brings natural texture to your floors while holding up well in busy households. Its low profile lays flat and moves easily under doorways, making it a functional choice for high-traffic areas.
