The colors in this rug are beautiful! As well as the pile and softness. I am pleasantly surprised as the colors are better than the picture. If you are not familiar with jute rugs please note that they are a natural fiber that does shed quite a bit. I do find that the color is a little bit darker than what was shown in the stock photos, but that was OK for my use. This is a gorgeous rug for what I believe is an awesome price. In the pictures it looks like it almost has a shag to it- it doesn’t, it’s totally flat. The quasi-shag look comes from light brown specs on the rug. It’s really a pretty rug. Only gave 4 stars because I just got it and want to see how it holds up. It is also very soft. I purchased the 3'6 x 5'6 size, and it goes perfectly with my new bedding. The rug was very well packaged and protected from getting wet or damaged. May I suggest that when you receive it, you unroll it and re-roll it in the opposite direction for a brief time so that when you place it, the corners will lay perfectly flat.
