The greens are more greyed/blue-green (not the yellowy green of some olives). The subtle greys, whites, beiges, bits of a warm soft light blue, and mellow gold tones set off the greens beautifully. Nice scale pattern. This rug would work in countless settings and makes a nice foundation in my living room.. I've received only positive comments from family and friends. This is such a pretty rug. Very soft, but thin so you will need a pad underneath. I actually ordered mine a little too small accidentally but I am going to layer it over a plain jute rug. It’s definitely a navy color and I would say a little muted in color (not a super dark blue). And to me it has slight purple undertones. (My opinion). We are using it in a kids art area.. Melody. I ordered the 8'x8' square rug. My space was a bit of a challenge because there are two areas in one room. I wanted the two spaces to be distinct. The rug really helped to pull this together. It's not as soft as I thought it would be from the photo, but it is in way hard or scratchy. You definitely don't want to use a vacuum that has roller brushes that run automatically. The loops are large and would likely get pulled up and unravel. I would say it is worth the purchase. UPDATE: It sheds like crazy!
