I am thrilled with my new runners. The colors in them pull the colors on the walls to bring things together nicely for me. I will need to add rug pads for more stability but I was sort of expecting that. These runners are thick and so soft under the feet. They came rolled and laid flat right out of the packaging. LOVE it! In my house the colors pull pale blue, sage green, gold, grey/brown and cream. It works for me because my large piece of furniture in the living room is mostly blue w green/gold accents. I ordered the 8'x8' square rug. My space was a bit of a challenge because there are two areas in one room. I wanted the two spaces to be distinct. The rug really helped to pull this together. It's not as soft as I thought it would be from the photo, but it is in way hard or scratchy. You definitely don't want to use a vacuum that has roller brushes that run automatically. The loops are large and would likely get pulled up and unravel. I would say it is worth the purchase. UPDATE: It sheds like crazy!
