They add comfort underfoot and help with noise reduction on rugs that don’t require a non-slip pad. The solid style woven padding that is breathable and works by catching any dirt and contaminants that may fall through your rug and onto your floors finish. This pad also features a dense (24 oz) felt that is soft enough to gently support your rug with no damage to the floors finish while making your rug more comfortable. The heat pressed side has a Hook & Loop Fastener-like effect with the rugs backing to stop the rug from bunching which can stress the weave of your rug and this too also helps preserve the rug. Eco-Plush's 1/4" dense felt also works to absorb some of the impact from walking, running, or dropped objects and also offers acoustical and sound insulating benefits.
