This rug is pretty but has major issues with shedding. I’ve vacuumed this rug a number of times with two separate Miele vacuums (using the appropriate attachments) and it continues to shed (some pictures below). It sheds so much that it is actually overheating my Mieles due to clogs it makes from the excess shedding in the vacuum’s piping. It’s a pretty rug and perhaps if it was in a dining room/living room, I would not be as concerned with the shedding. The rug is in a nursery and I do not want my baby to be exposed to this much shedding/loose wool materials. I own other wool rugs/handmade rugs and have not experienced this before. If you’re not as concerned about the shedding, then it’s fine.

This rug is awesome! It is thick and soft. Color is spot on match to the picture on Birch Ln. Like any other plush rug it will have a lot of fluff in your vacuum for about 4 runs .

This is my first time ordering from Birch Lane and I LOVE this rug. The color matched the photos perfect, the shipping was quick with good shipping notifications. The rug is thick and sturdy but still soft. I'd for sure recommend this rug!

Feels lovely underfoot. Very visually stunning. Rather pleased with it.
Suitable for all interior residential spaces including but not limited to living rooms, family rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and entryways. The sumptuous texture of the rug pile softens hard surfaces when layered over tile, stone, and hardwood floors. Maintain the rug by vacuuming with suction only, vacuums with beater bars are not recommended, and spills and stains should be treated by a professional cleaner.
