Rug is cotton, but it’s also a wool and polyester blend. I wanted to avoid synthetics. Really unhappy with the purchase. Will probably throw it out.

What a wonderful rug- it really ties the room together. There were no odd folds or creases to work out from the shape it shipped in (which was free and extremely fast, might I add). The color is exactly as was pictured, which i reckon can be difficult given that it is manufactured with natural materials. The weave and pattern are beautiful- reminiscent of a time when things were made well, and, well, this rug is simply made well. I haven't a need for another rug, but when I do, I will return to Birch Ln.

Aesthetically perfect for my needs, soft to the touch. I'm delighted!
