Paint Chip Moss Hand Micro Hooked Wool Rug

The rug is gorgeous. The colors are great and the pile height is lovely. I have a thick pad underneath for extra coziness. I highly recommend. To note, the rug appears to be on sale a lot, so I suggest watching and waiting for the best price. I bought it on sale and then looked at rug on the website again, the day it was delivered. The same rug / size / color was offered on sale for an additional $300 less! I was very sad and frustrated when I contacted customer service to learn that Birch Lane does not price match (like many other companies do for an item that goes on sale within 7 - 14 days of your purchase). Just a note for buyer beware but I do recommend the rug.

My rug arrived within the promised window. It was raining very hard. The delivery men took time to dry off the packaging material before they left; very courteous and professional.

The good: The design and colors are unique, and I have been unable to find such a colorful rug for a similar price point. It looks exactly like the image - keep in mind the pattern repeats about every ~3 feet or so, and is not fully unique. Also my images are in warm light, so depending on your lighting you might have the pattern be a bit more or less vivid. The entire rug is solid and can be placed directly on the floor. It's a clean rug out of the box - I've had to vacuum other hand-woven rugs multiple times to get all the dust out of them, but this one was in great shape. The bad: The material looks and feels like carpet and is very coarse and dense. I think you need a rug pad to make this be remotely comfortable to walk on. This definitely was made by a machine in India and then cut to size, and there is no way this was "crafted by artisans with small hooks" as advertised as the pattern and craft is way too consistent. The edges are definitely closer to carpet and are *not bound*. They are literally like the carpet was just cut along the edge. I am a DIYer and the rug is the perfect design and color for my design, so I plan on spending extra money to get this to be a better looking rug by using Instabind, but you will probably not like this out of the box. I guarantee if you leave them, the edges will fray over time.

Colors are exactly as they appear online. Rug is great quality and looks amazing in our clients bunk room.
