This design has roots in the American West with its large scale, strong angular lines, and no-nonsense style. The sturdy aluminum and brass construction features a finish of bold buckeye bronze and heritage brass. A welded outer form frames an inner clear, bound glass shade.

These lights are quite beautiful, however, it is disappointing when assembling the item and something is missing a little tiny screw that holds the inside pendant from dangling and you have to improvise until the problem is fixed. I’d been eyeing the Birch Lane™ Burleson Black Seeded Glass Outdoor Wall-Mount Lantern that looked gorgeous online. After an actual fire occurred in one of our current l, old porch lanterns (bird tried to build nest), it pushed us to finally pick out a much-needed upgrade for our two, outdoor, front-porch lanterns, and I went right for this model. The brand describes their items having a nautical look, which I can see with its hanging handle arm, but it wouldn’t have occurred to me if I hadn’t read it. The arm does give it an old-fashioned touch, which is paired with clean, simple, black metal that lines the cylindrical glass down to a similar circular end cap. For me, well-made, not overdone seeded glass is beautiful, and adds a unique touch, which definitely holds true here. We chose the 19” H vs 22” H lanterns for our porch size, also noting that they’re wetdry, and use a standard bulb with 100 watt max, which is especially great since they’re also dimmable as a bonus (Dimmer switch to come.). The installation was straightforward, and the plate allowed for “letting go,” making it possible for one person to install and only took about 15 minutes per light. See photos. These look great! It’s kind of tricky to put the bulb in but I like that it’s tucked up in there so all you see is the light, not the bulb. I bought 3 of these (one for front door, 2 for back double door) and once I get a dimmer switch on them, I will like them even more. The bottom is open, so I’m a little concerned about spiderwebs and how easy it will be to keep them clean. But I love the finish and the fact that they come in multiple sizes!. Allyson.
