I used my large workbench and, with the help of my son, we worked from top to bottom without issue. Since the lounges are still new, I can’t yet speak to their durability in harsh weather. Love them! I bought three. Price is high, but I wanted something that would last for years. I knew the Polywood brand would be the way to go. Well worth it. EDIT: After having them for two years, they have all started to split where the screws attach. One split after the first year. We have had to add screws and a glue to attach the polywood back together. Hoping this works, but not worth the money. The shelf sticks a little sometimes but a rubbing some soap on the sides should take care of that. I didn't give it 5 stars because the cushions aren't waterproof and if they get wet they'll stay soaked for hours unless you leave them in the sun and flip them from time to time.. Lauren.
