Gather around this cozy fire pit table for memorable nights under the stars. Crafted from powder-resistant iron and finished in a matte black tone, its 42" wide octagonal frame brings a spacious look and a contemporary feel to your backyard. It's fueled by propane (tanks sold separately), and it features an adjustable flame to control how warm you get on cooler evenings. A compartment underneath is easily accessible with the side door, while a cast-iron burning area holds the included lava rocks. Take note: This fire pit table is designed for outdoor use only and shouldn't be placed on a wooden deck.
Easy to assemble, well packed to survive in transit. We chose this one as the octagon shape seemed a bit easier to navigate around without hitting knees or shins on the corners of the square version - seems to have been a good choice. For the price - at the lower end of the spectrum - this seems quite decent. Fit/finish are quite good if not perfect (the door to access the controls/propane tank closes and works fine but isn't a perfect fit). Flame output is quite even around the burner and looks quite nice. Does not radiate a huge amount of heat - which means you could probably use the outer edges of the table for drinks, etc. with the burner on lower settings. We also originally had adirondack style chairs around it which, with the height of this fire pit also put the heat source up a fair amount higher than those seated around it - this does improve with more 'standard' style patio furniture.
