I ordered the Connerton Birdbath in Graystone - a sentence I never thought I would say (because my taste in decor would normally never have included a birdbath. I can appreciate them, but they're not really my "thing.") However, my mother, who had exquisite taste, passed unexpectedly several years ago (it's been hell on earth ever since, but that's for another website - not Birch Lane). Since then, I've tried to keep my parents house looking exactly as my mom would have had it, in honor of her and her dignity, of course, AND admittedly, a little selfishly as well, so it still feels like she's still here - like her perfect touches continue with each season. I could never pull up to my childhood home and see it looking like someone else's hands had touched it. Never. She had a birdbath in the front garden but unfortunately it was damaged recently, so I had to replace it. However, so many options out there are SO NOT her. As soon as I came across this one - clean, simple, strong, elegant, classic, understated - I knew she would approve of it. It was delivered super quickly and packaged with a ton of protection but surprisingly very easy to get out of the box. Some reviews note they had issues there, but, it was seamless in my experience. It's beautifully made, the color is a perfect shade of gray - not too dark, not too light (although the photo makes it look MUCH lighter than it actually is), it's very sturdy and there's nothing cheap-looking about it, unlike so much stuff out there. And, as simple as pouring water into sounds, it felt like a very significant moment and made me emotional and proud. I'm really grateful I found it and I know my mom loves it.
