For the price, these chairs are quite comfortable, even with no cushion, plus it is a nice style. I have not owned them long enough to know if rust will be an issue. Since I liked them the first summer. I ordered 4 more . Unfortunately, the second batch came in boxes so badly damaged, that the chairs were also banged up - not alot, but with an outdoor chair, if the finish is worn off, rust will shortly follow. So I asked for them to be replaced. After sending photos, Birch Lane did agree to replace them, including shipping the damaged ones back at no cost, however, they asked me to box them back up myself. Well since the original boxes were so destroyed, how to ship them became an issue. They send you links to " where to find free boxes". I have yet to see a U-haul give out free boxes, at least here in my city. So I waited till the new ones were sent and used those boxes, though they were in pretty sad shape also. The issue was settled, I did get the new set of chairs, but the shipping issue was difficult. So, while I do like the chairs, this experience will make me think twice before ordering furniture from Birch Lane again.
