Tahira 60'' Floor Lamp

tl;dr: Artless utility From the moment I unboxed this lamp, I was unimpressed: Lots of plastic bags and EPS foam convey a lack of care for the planet. Assembly was straightforward. The threads fit together roughly. I believe most of the lamp is made of aluminum and painted. The color irl matches the website photo, brushed greenish brass-like. The base balances well on thick carpet. The switch feels cheap. Will it fail soon? The switch and bulb socket are loose and misaligned on the lamp head. Changing the bulb is tricky. In use, I can adjust the light exactly to my needs. With a frosted bulb, the beam illuminates a full page evenly when seated. A 29W halogen bulb was not bright enough for reading. I am using a 60W equivalent LED, well below the 40W max rating. Because the lamp head is relatively small, there is no noticeable acoustic resonance at sitting distance. Once again, Birch Lane delivered the lowest quality product I am willing to keep. At this price, I was hoping for a product better put together than this.

Nice lamp. But the socket is broke with a wire out of it. Hoping to get the problem resolved soon.

Really nice looking lamp, easy to assemble.
