We have three of theses hanging over our kitchen island. They are quite large but it's an over-sized island (12' X 4') They are really beautiful, well-made. I feel like they're a focal point in our kitchen/living/dining area. Highly recommend.

These could not be more perfect. I have been searching for pendants for above our island for over 9 months. We had three, tiny, builder-grade pendants in this space before and they did nothing for our kitchen. I wanted to be sure the size of whatever we bought would look appropriate with our tall ceilings and open floor plan. These do such a wonderful job of filling the space without looking crowded. We have a lot of black in our house (curtain rods, dining room chairs, etc) and although these are technically a dark, dark brown, they still look great. I don't foresee wanting to paint them or anything. Clean out the glass and consider using gloves when you're installing to avoid dust and fingerprints inside the pendants. Other than that, enjoy. They're fantastic. :)

Love ordered 2 to hang over Island, looks great. Make sure to polish well before hanging, use gloves to avoid fingerprints. Only negative is it is hard to fastest the glass cover on to the base, this is why I gave is 4 instead of 5 stars

I love these lights, they are beautiful! I wanted to give a 5-star review but I just can't get the glass to shine clean. It's such a shame as there are marks and some weird residue on them that I can't get off with anything...and I've tried everything from mild soap and water to pro-glass cleaners. I called customer service who were FANTASTIC and sent me replacements within an hour! The glass on the new shades also have the residue and so they look dirty when lit. I would recommend these as they are lovely and Birch Lane customer service is first class, so I would still recommend them for that reason, but if you're a nut for super-clean looking glass like me, I'd make sure you open them as soon as you receive them and inspect!
