This lamp is perfect for a small amount of light by a chair or bed. There are some thin openings at the top that allow light through, so the light isn't only at the bottom. It doesn't cast a ton of light into a room like a normal lampshade does though.

I love this fun well-made lamp. During the day it is like looking at a pretty sculpture on my desk and at night it is useful as a task lamp but also creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The white color has a light antiqued finish in warm, light brown tones.
