The lamp is lovely. It is somewhat delicate in scale. And the gold is very bright antique gold.

Love these lamps! Only reason I did not give 5 stars is you have to work with the shade to get it balanced and straight...nothing that would prevent me from buying it again or recommending though.

These lamps are beautiful and come with a real lamp shade. Ordering was easy and delivery was quick.

It looks a bit sparse in the pictures (due to the white background), but in person it has the right amount of substance. Tall enough to allow clearance for items that a shorter, wider lamp wouldn't. Weighty enough that you won't knock it over. Getting the lamp shade straight isn't impossible. Just takes a bit of trial and error when screwing on the top end-piece. One of those rare cases where having multiples wouldn't look too strange. Go for it.

Good quality but the lamp shade can not be made level. It's just enough to constantly bug me. I'm not sure if it's the bulb socket bracket, etc.
