We ended up returning these. For the price, the connection still has an ugly cord running up the chain. It was a very noticeable shiny grey that stood out against the black chain.

This is a great light. Initially I bought clear glass pendants but after trying several lightbulbs they were just too harsh on the eyes. This one with the shade feature solves it all!
