We ordered two of these lamps for our office. 1 in the first shipment was not manufactured properly, the fitting for the base was installed at an angle, and we couldn't even assemble it. The second one the knob to turn the lamp on was badly aligned and would not work. We returned this 2nd one and a replacement was sent. It assembled just fine. However, over time, the lamp head would not stay up in the locked position and kept slipping downward. When trying to adjust it for the umptheenth time, the tightening lever broke off. Disappointed is an understatement, especially in a lamp that cost over $200. Will not purchase this brand ever again. Customer service as made the situation right, but it was such an effort to get things sorted that may not purchase through Birch Lane again.

We have been completely revamping our livingroom in our old farm house with a cottage/modern farmhouse look. This lamp is a great addition, positioned behind a chair in the corner. The shade is a great size and the light is just perfect. The lamp has a really nice look that fits in with the modern farmhouse vibe perfectly.
