These fixtures are very easy to install. A couple of points not included in the description that might help are that the electrical box hits in the middle of the back plate. Also, it is possible to adjust the cord. There is extra cord behind the back plate. Just unscrew the plastic fastener on the back and pull as much as you need through to the front and reattach the plastic fastener at the back. In the front, you need to unscrew the set screws but that only removes the knobs. Get pliers and gently turn the set screws to loosen them. It really only takes half a turn or so. You can remove, or loosen the set screws enough to pull the cord through. There is a metal sleeve inside that is between the set screw and the cord. Just sort of hold the sleeve in with your fingers as you pull the cord through. The cord might fray a tiny bit, but I clipped the fuzz (and that was only on one spot out of three places I pulled the cord through) with sharp fingernail scissors. Finger tighten the set screws and put the knobs back on and tighten. The cord isn't laying straight, but I think that with time, the weight of the glass will straighten it out. I didn't give these five stars because of the position of the fixture to the backplate. I was hoping these lined up with the electric box at the top for my particular installation. That's just my situation, and they could be a five star for you! Overall, a good value.

Love this even more in person than online. Looks so timeless. I was a little hesitant to put this in our new bathroom because I thought it would be too heavy for the space, but the glass shade and light walls make it look just right. Love it!
