The lights that I received are defective and not as pictured. The hinge, as pictured on the website is horizontal, thus should allow the light to swing up and down, which is consistent with the photos on Birch Lane. However, the light that I received had the hinge oriented vertically, which meant that it would swing left or right but not up or down. The result is that the light can only be oriented 90 degrees out from the wall (I needed a light that would go up, then down to clear my kitchen cabinet and be clear from opening cupboard doors). While the light itself was a total failure, the Birch Lane customer service team was excellent. Following my first call, the Birch Lane representative arranged for a new replacement sent to be sent out. Unfortunately, the second set had the same flaw. Therefore, I called Birch Lane again, who kindly acknowledged this defect and arranged for a full refund and sent me prepaid shipping labels. I appreciate Birch Lane's team, but the vendor (Savoy House), not so much!
