These are very, very thin - definitely need to be ironed properly as each wrinkle will show. They are pale gray, but with a green tinge. They will look nice with snow white napkins. These placemats give a light, summery feel to the table setting, due to their weight, but I can also visualize them being used on a formal table, with plenty of silver to set them off.. Jackie.
