ZWILLING Gourmet Steak Knife (Set of 6)

These knives are VERY VERY sharp. That part is impressive. But I am only giving it 3 stars because the blade itself is very thin and actually bends if I am cutting something thicker than a steak. I do love how sharp they are though.

My boyfriend and I moved in together, and I used the opportunity to replace everything I thought needed replacing, and this was especially true for our steak knives. Both his and mine were cheap steak knives that were obviously not doing there jobs that well anymore. He wanted something with a straight edge, and I eat a lot of tomatoes so I was not too keen on straight edges since tomato skins don't necessarily cut well with a straight blade. These have done great! They have not been smushing my tomatoes when I cut them. Most of the time I use a cutco trimmer knife for my tomatoes, but when it is dirty these work well enough. Their main function is to cut stuff on plates, and they have worked out great. We have only had them a few months now. I hope they will stand up to the test of time, and at least since they are a straight blade we can use a knife sharpener on them.

Super sharp—I was shocked at how well these knives worked! My daughter even used one to effortlessly cut through a folded napkin. Fantastic quality at a great price. Highly recommend!
