This is not only a timer, it is a digital clock is well. So it covers two purposes at once. It will last for a year on batteries which is great. It is also very loud as a digital timer. A great pick!

Great little timer with some features I didnt expect. It can be a regular countdown kitchen timer, or you can press the startplay button to begin the timer counting up from zero. Its also a regular clock. And yes, the alarm is very loud. All the buttons are clearly marked their use very intuitive. Excellent timer that is stylish and affordable.

Since the timer is loud enough and doesn't stop beeping until you turn it off, it will remind you to check what you're cooking, thereby preventing a burnt meal or, possibly, a fire.
