Staub Cast Iron 3.75-Quart Essential French Oven Rooster

I love the brilliant blue color and beauty of my roaster. It has excellent heat retention and every recipe turns out juicy and tasty. Most recently, I cooked a luscious beef stew in my roaster. I enjoy the rooster topper that I added on top for whimsy, plus it blends well with my chicken family.

This Staub pan replaces my beloved Le Creuset roaster after twenty plus years of service. I was bummed when I “stepped down” to purchase it but I love this Dutch oven. Nothing missing and half the price

So, it was like being a child all over again waiting for Santa Claus to come and visit, leaving presents that you have asked for...begged for...since visiting him at the mall. At first, the estimated delivery was March 24th, then it changed to March 26th and finally, it arrived on April 3rd! Carefully opening the well-packaged Straub Dutch Oven, noticing it was shipped from NYC, upon looking inside I saw the most beautiful dutch oven I have ever seen! With there just being myself & DH, I had looked high and low for a dutch oven that wasn't huge and not so small...the Goldilocks of dutch ovens. This one has completely fit the bill at 3.75 quarts. Yes, it is pricey...pretty gosh darn expensive, but for my needs and for the years I am hoping it will last, it was an indulgence of the decade for me. It is almost too beautiful to use...a piece of art to be admired...but has the functionality of a true workhorse. Very pleased with this purchase!

Tis is my go to for slow cooked , simmered meals. Bonus points for interior color, doesn't stain as similar brands have done.

I love my dutch oven. It is just the right size for the two of us. I also make bread in it so it gets a lot of use. The rooster on the lid gives it that extra touch.
