This is elegant in its simplicity. The stoneware has modern, but crafted feel to it, not a thin shiny delicate porcelain at all. It is sturdy and I don't feel that it would tip over.

The ceramic is a nice weight and the semi-matte finish is really nice. The cake stand is not level. It wobbles slightly which is disappointing

It’s quite heavy and thick. It’s very well made and seamless around the top and base connection. I love that it’s dishwasher safe for the times I don’t want to hand wash. It displays baked goods appealingly! I do wish there was a lid with it to keep food items fresh. Not only do I like using it as a cake stand but it also doubles as a simple decorative tray. I use it to display candles, flowers, and any little decorative item. I get a lot of use out of this simple cake stand and I love it!
