Husband is so happy I put these on the registry!

I received a gift of Waterford crystal whiskey glasses and was really impressed holding and drinking from them. They had heft and sharply etched pattern. I believed the Lismore glasses looked the same. But months after gifting them to my sister for her 65th, I got to use them. They are no where near as nice! The pattern is smoothly etched like it came from a mold. The weight of the crystal glass is noticeably less. I selected a larger size than I believed, which was my fault. But overall I was really disappointed to compare it to the pair of crystal glasses that I own. The special-ness of the gift was ruined in my opinion. They could have been any other commercial set of glasses.

Sometimes a fine bourbon requires a fine glass. Waterford is the gold standard for fine crystal.

the glasses are lovely and match the pattern of my other high ball glasses except they are larger and have a heavier base. my other glasses are only 10 oz and have a lighter base.

Fine glassware with a beautiful design. Also, a great size, will fit a large cube with whiskey. Purchased for a lovely gift.

Very consistent quality. It does contrast to older Waterford pieces which had their distinct character depending on the artist and molds. Nowadays is a much more uniform product, more predictable. I find the cuts are not as sharp, seems they are polishing them a little more than previously. I recommend this set as it’s my favorite DOF glass, very large and versatile could be used for both whisky and cocktails

Bought as a gift for my husband, instantly had regrets because of how expensive they are so I convinced myself he'd find it ridiculous. (We're not rich people.) But he loved them! It's nice to have something really really nice sometimes. They're very bottom-heavy, they feel really sturdy. Hopefully I can add to the collection some day :)
