I was considering the cast iron pot, but glad I went with the stainless steel. Our kitchen is modern and this looks great, cooking with it is effortless and a lot lighter than the cast iron!
The tri-ply construction of the 9 qt. stockpot conducts and distributes heat evenly, making it ideal for boiling vegetables, simmering soup, or creating flavorful stock. The deep colander insert adds functionality and convenience, making it easier to transfer pasta straight from the stockpot to the serving bowl. The insert also works well for steaming shellfish or blanching vegetables.
The quality of materials and manufacturing is stunning. The strainer insert is super sturdy and holds up well as part of cooking (think huge batch of pasta or LOTS of ears of corn) and the ease of lifting out instead of pouring boiling water is amazing.
