Cabbage, in its rough and flat form, could be used as a metaphor for Portugal’s rustic ways, which Bordallo had so many times caricatured. This was a clever way to honour it, placing it on the bourgeois’ tables, where other way it had not been invited.

I saw a lot of Pinheiro pottery in Portugal. I loved them. I saw this piece at n the airport in Lisbon. When I got home, I found the cabbage pot at perigold. I ordered it and it came one week later in perfect condition. Thank you, Perigold!. Geraldine. Walker, MI. Fri Oct 10 2025

Beautifully proportioned and full of character, it brings a sense of tradition and ceremony to everyday tea moments.

Love the Spode Green Italian! I've had the Spode Blue Italian for many years and have loved it. The green is perfect, as green goes with everything. I ordered numerous dish items and was EXCEPTIONALLY happy with the way Wayfair packed my things. Nothing was broken. I have not had the same experience with other sellers - some of them department stores. I've had damaged, broken and defective dishes from other sellers in the past. So, I cannot say enough about how Wayfair packaged these dishes. And, Spode speaks for itself. Spode is beautiful!. Jan. Lake Charles, LA. Fri Apr 17 2026
