The cabinet weighs 80 pounds so I had to hire a handyman to bring it to my house. $75 dollars later I ended up canceling a pretty dresser I ordered because I don’t trust FedEx to deliver to my house. I am mostly pleased with these, considering the price. They arrived in perfect condition and look exactly as pictured. They blend well with the other wood colors and style in my living room. However I had hoped the wood would look more like real oak. The white glaze is much heavier than you can see on the photo, and it still retains a very strong smell. The white glaze is overdone, in my opinion, and makes the piece look like really fake wood, which I guess it is. I kind of wished I had ordered the very similar bookshelves without a back (made by a different manufacturer) because it doesnt say it has the glaze and also says it is made of oak and rubber wood. But those were each 100 more so I went with these.Whereas these are mostly engineered wood I believe. Once the smell wears away, Im sure Ill be happier with them.. Carol. Longboat Key, FL. Loved finding bookcases this tall (94”) and wide (40”) and was able to make my office/studio wall look like a built-in. Lucky to find wood finish close to other elements we were using. While we don’t really need the ladder function, the rod detail makes the unit look unique and we didn’t purchase a ladder.
