Stone earns its keep on a work surface, and a cookbook stand is the clearest case, holding a book open against its own spine. Marble brings veining that shifts from piece to piece, so the object reads as considered rather than utilitarian. Set it on a desk or a shelf where a book stays open.

I love it ! Holds my 8x10 approx. 200 pgs. Or less perfectly don’t have anything bigger. Anonymous. Thu Jan 02 2025

Books lean, and these wedges are heavy enough to talk them out of it. Marble does the work, with angled faces that slide under the first and last spine so the stack stays square. Sold as a set of two, they read as objects in their own right on a shelf or desk.

I needed some heavy bookends, and these certainly meet that criterion. Very attractive and exactly what I wanted.. Joann G. US. Mon Jan 16 2023
