I am mostly pleased with these, considering the price. They arrived in perfect condition and look exactly as pictured. They blend well with the other wood colors and style in my living room. However I had hoped the wood would look more like real oak. The white glaze is much heavier than you can see on the photo, and it still retains a very strong smell. The white glaze is overdone, in my opinion, and makes the piece look like really fake wood, which I guess it is. I kind of wished I had ordered the very similar bookshelves without a back (made by a different manufacturer) because it doesnt say it has the glaze and also says it is made of oak and rubber wood. I love the vintage distressed solid wood used in this bookcase. Delivery was perfect (3 items were all delivered at the scheduled delivery time with a super crew). I haven’t installed it yet but it looks super straightforward. I love this shelf. I’ll be getting more for sure. The sizes are just right for smaller spaces- I’m using mine in my bathroom.
