I am mostly pleased with these, considering the price. They arrived in perfect condition and look exactly as pictured. They blend well with the other wood colors and style in my living room. However I had hoped the wood would look more like real oak. The white glaze is much heavier than you can see on the photo, and it still retains a very strong smell. The white glaze is overdone, in my opinion, and makes the piece look like really fake wood, which I guess it is. I kind of wished I had ordered the very similar bookshelves without a back (made by a different manufacturer) because it doesnt say it has the glaze and also says it is made of oak and rubber wood. But those were each 100 more so I went with these.Whereas these are mostly engineered wood I believe. Once the smell wears away, Im sure Ill be happier with them.. Carol. Longboat Key, FL. It’s a very nice media center. However, it could use some wood plugs on the lowest bookcase shelves. There are large holes where it is screwed together that are very visible to see. On delivery, it comes in many pieces. They put it together for you. We had several damaged pieces so had to wait a few weeks for replacements. Once we had the replacements and it was assembled, we noticed one other piece with small damage. At that point they offered us a decent price adjustment so we kept it. They have very good customer.
