The Lana Chest is a beautiful piece of furniture. It's the perfect size, and it is versatile in ways it can be used. It is solid and sturdy, the blue is gorgeous, and the door pulls are the perfect accent. It could be used in an entrance way, a bedroom, a living room, dining room or family room. This dresser is a good quality in terms of the material, finish, weight and hardware. The grass cloth finish on the drawer fronts is fine if you like that style. I wish they had the wood-grain drawer fronts so that it matched perfectly with my six drawer dresser. The collar and hardware is identical though so it works. Again one would expect at this price point to have soft-close drawers. You need to give these drawers a good push into place so that they are flush with the others.. Good drawer space. I love this cabinet! I have been waiting for months. I'm deducting a star because 1) shipping took several months, 2) the wood is slightly scratched where the cabinet doors slide, and 3) the top of hte cabinet is a slightly different color/tone than the bottom. This is easily my favorite purchase from Birch Lane. It’s expensive, but after seeing it in person, I think it’s worth every penny. This is the kind of substantial, beautiful piece of furniture that you keep for years and eventually pass down. I currently use mine in the kitchen for additional storage, and it’s incredibly spacious. It holds a surprising amount while still looking like a beautiful piece of furniture rather than just a storage cabinet. The quality and craftsmanship are excellent, and it has so much character.
