I did all the measurements and was still surprised at it's size compared to the very large recliner I have sitting next to it! It's immediately comfortable, no need to break it in first. You have plenty of room to sit sideways or cross-legged. My large dog would love to take it over as his personal bed. I have a small ottoman/pouf that I can put in front of it for extra comfort as well. The side arms are tall enough that with the pillow you can lean against it to watch TV. My daughter lays with her legs hanging over the edge of the arm. For our small living room it fills adds another comfy option for seating against a wall where you might otherwise put a side chair.. The chair is comfortable and works well. If you’re especially tall (over 6’) I'd probably pass. The chair arrived in good condition and assembly was easy. Legs are screwed in (front) and bolted in (back) using an Allen wrench. Annoying, but NBD.
